Girls Fall Just Short Against Phoenix in Game Two of Confederation City Classic

The girls left with their heads held high after they battled their hearts out against one of the top teams in Nova Scotia. Our girls fell behind early, but we clawed our way back and pushed Citadel right to their limit. The final score was 44-47 for Citadel but everyone in the gym seemed to be rooting for us thanks to the heart and effort our girls showed.

Frances Aceron and Gabby Shaw were floor generals all game long and finished with 19 and 10 points respectively and Grade 9 players Maanvi Manchineni and Kaiah States gave us invaluable minutes at important junctions of the game. Our player of the game was Natalia Shaw whose excellent defense and timely 3-point shooting gave us life in the second half.
