Junior House Activity Update: The Crawford Cup

Spirits were high on Tuesday afternoon as the Junior School traveled to Avon Valley Lanes in Windsor to have some indoor fun and recreation. It was time for the annual bowling competition, and everyone was all in! The four KES House teams of Judd, Haliburton, Tupper, and Howe competed against each other, string after string, vying for a place in the Crawford Cup final. The trophy is named after one of our KES finance officers, Dwayne Crawford, a pro with numbers and strikes! There were spares and strikes, curve balls and straight releases, and some impressive scores. The teachers joined in the fun and even I earned a few spares. Leave it to Mr. Kershaw to find his way behind the scenes, where he examined the engineering of the inner workings of the pin set-up and ball return. The students had a blast, and lots of House points were earned.

Congratulations to our top scorers: sixth place-Leonardo Yang ‘28 (Haliburton House), fifth place-Calum O’Callaghan ‘27 (Tupper House), fourth place-Jake Trask ’27 (Howe House) , third place-Andrew Klein ’27 (Tupper House), second place-Ken Hojo ’27 (Tupper House) and to the winner of the Crawford Cup: Olivia Mosher ‘28! We look forward to our next KES House competition—Arctic Games—in February!
