5-3 Win vs Capitals
After 5 games that needed extra time to start the season, the Highlanders finish a game in regulation with a commanding 5-3 win over the Capitals. The Highlanders collect 3 out of a possible 4 points in this rivalry weekend.
In our first true home game of the year, the Highlanders scored 18 seconds into the game and again just minutes later. The Highlanders once again ran into penalty trouble which allowed the Capitals cut the lead to 4-2 after 2 periods. The Highlanders played a very sound third period, scoring midway through.
