Explore More

Wednesday afternoons are devoted to the arts. It’s a program called Explore More for the very reason that students are trying different artistic activities possibly, for the first time. There is a wide range of workshops from watercolour painting to cross-stitch. There is film appreciation, Zumba dance, acrylic painting, piano lessons, cooking workshops, bushcraft, and many more. The idea also allows for personal exploration that is unhurried, creating a relaxed atmosphere. There are two workshops, Zendoodle art and board games that simply allow students to play together and unwind, and with no surprise there is significant engagement in all the workshops. The beauty of maintaining presence while trying something new is that there is no anticipatory judgement; there is only acceptance and shared experience. To gain a different perspective in life, it is often best revealed through creative exploration.
