Grade 11 Chemistry Lab

The IB Grade 11 Chemistry students conducted an experiment this week investigating analytical techniques and equipment. The students prepared a primary standard salt solution using mass balances and volumetric flasks and then used volumetric pipettes to prepare secondary and final solutions through dilution. In this lab, we used food dye to aid in the observation and understanding of dilution and molarity.
