COVID-19 Mural in the Senior School

As I had mentioned in an earlier newsletter, this mural was the idea of Gabby Thong ‘22 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Grade 12 Visual Arts class. The students wanted to paint a mural with the theme of our experience of living with COVID-19. The direction and style were influenced by the Pop Artist, Roy Lichtenstein. As the mural progressed, my Grade 11 Visual Arts class stepped in to help since the Grade 12 class was busy with their IB exams.

I want to thank Maya Faucher ‘22, Fernanda Castaneda Gutierrez ‘23, Natalia de la Peña Kaim '23, Maria Gutierrez Fuentes ‘23 and Kamila Rafikova ‘23 for their extra time and help in completing the mural. They should be very pleased with the finished results. Amazing work!
