Grade 6 Class Honours Veteran and First Responders

On May 27, 2022, Dr. Belinda Seagram, the Director of Landing Strong in Windsor, held a graduation in Convocation Hall. The graduates were a group of veterans and first responders who had completed a training programme at Landing Strong. In the 254, we never miss an opportunity. When Dr. Seagram asked me if the Corps Honour Guard would be available, I decided that this would be a great time to showcase our Grade 6 class. Most of these students are too young to officially be cadets, nonetheless, most of them, with their parents’ consent, participate in the programme. The children formed the Honour Guard and gave a smart salute, a wave, and a resounding, “Welcome to King’s-Edgehill School!” to each group of graduates as they approached Convocation Hall. Piper Warrant Officer Sean Hurley ‘23, played the lively tune of “Mary’s Wedding” on the bagpipes. A big treat for the graduates was when Isabelle Sampson ‘28 accompanied Sean on the violin. The day was spectacular with many words of appreciation from all in attendance.

What a great day to be a Cadet in the 254!
