Senior School Speeches

Each spring, students in the Senior School write and present a speech in their English class. This year the topics were engaging and informative, and each class had the difficult task of choosing representatives to move on to the finals. This past week, the finals were held in our chapel, and 21 presenters were judged by Major Keith Hynes, Ms. Sue Cole, and me. All the speeches were highly entertaining, some involving humorous, personal anecdotes and some focusing on serious topics which deeply affect our society. The top three presenters were chosen, and these students will be awarded the Public Speaking Awards during Prize Day on June 11.
