Co-Ed Softball is a big Hit!

Our KES co-ed softball team (a first for KES!) went to Bridgewater April 28 for a double header against Park View Education Centre (PVEC). We won the first game and tied the second. PVEC will be coming to St. Croix field on May 16 for another double header.

Our team of nine students, ranging from Grades 7 to 12, worked well together both on the field and in the dugout. Our pitcher, Dakota Bagshaw ‘22, pitched all but one inning between the two games. Our short stop, Jacob Edgecombe ‘27, worked on communicating with the infield to ensure the team was focused and ready for anything. The chemistry between our first baseman, Kofi Symmonds ‘25, and our catcher, William Day ‘25, allowed them to make some big plays, aiding to our victory.

The whole team stayed positive during the game, shouting words of encouragement to anyone at bat and to anyone running their guts out around the bases.
