Clue on Stage (High School Edition)

We are very proud to present Clue on Stage (High School Edition) as this year’s Senior School play production. From acting to backstage crew, we will be highlighting and introducing some of the students involved in our show as the weeks unfold. Our students will share their thoughts about the play, their experience with the performing arts, and the importance of art in their everyday lives. We hope you will support this dedicated team of staff and students by attending this fun production in our Fountain Performing Arts Centre.

Tickets will be sold at the door at $10 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors.

 

This week we are highlighting Katie Hodder ‘23 and Romano Senior-Smith ‘22:

 

Katie is originally from Newfoundland but currently lives in Bedford. Grade 11 is her second year at KES. She is an IB visual arts student and was in the ensemble for Heathers. Katie’s interest in theatre was sparked when she became friends with people who are into theatre, and she is looking forward to helping them out backstage. Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, her appreciation of how arts can help one escape reality has grown. She recommends that everyone try the arts in some form or another because they build confidence and reduce self-consciousness. Katie is enjoying the process of watching Clue come together and hopes you enjoy the final product!

 

Romano, originally from Jamaica, is in his first and final year at King’s-Edgehill School. Although he has done visual arts in the past, Clue will be his first-ever performance. His friends got him into theatre, and he has been enjoying the process of trying something new and exciting. He specifically mentioned how much fun the rehearsals over the last few weeks have been. Romano recommends that everyone try theatre at least once, because the cast and crew must work together, and team-building skills will serve you for the rest of your life. We are looking forward to seeing Romano onstage as Professor Plum next week!
