Congratulations to Wrestling Sisters Beatrice and Bella!

Graduating IB diploma student-athlete, Bella Galaise ‘22, and her younger sister and wrestling teammate Beatrice ‘24 were not able to complete in the recent Senior Sport Nova Scotia (SSNS) provincial high school wrestling championships, hosted at KES on March 5 because they were both completing their NLS certification for life guarding. These hardworking and skilled wrestlers are two of the very best in Nova Scotia and would have certainly helped our girls win the team provincial championship, as we lost by only one point. The sisters took their skills to Alberta over March break to compete in a very large and competitive Alberta open wrestling championship..

The girls had some very impressive wrestling results from their trip to Alberta. In an event that saw 500 plus wrestlers representing seven provinces, Beatrice won the only gold medal earned by an eastern wrestler. Bella came home with a silver medal in the junior division which was comprised of first and second year university wrestlers. Both girls had to work extremely hard to bring home such impressive results!

Both girls are preparing for the national championships and the Canada summer games. Way to go, girls!
