Mom was born in Halifax and moved to Windsor in her early years with her family. After graduation, she returned to Halifax to study nursing. Mom worked at the NS Hospital for the first part of her career. After moving to Upper Cornwall, she continued her career with Public Health and VON, positions that gave her great pride.

Mom’s first passion was always her family, and she cherished the time she spent with all of us. Over the years she loved spending time in her gardens at the lake with her grandchildren/great-grandchildren who helped with Gnome and Fairy placement. This was her happy place.

She was very involved with CNAG (Canadian Naval Air Group) where she held executive positions for several years, and the Shearwater Aviation Museum. Her other great love was for Kings-Edgehill School in Windsor, NS, (her alumna) where she spent many hours working in the archives and attending social events hosted by the school.

A special thank you to VON, Palliative Care, and Dr. Thibodeau, for all your help in the last few weeks.

Cremation entrusted to the care of Mahone Funeral Home, P.O. Box 200, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay, NS B0J 2E0 (902-624-8241). Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting: www.mahonefuneral.ca
