Fun for our Ski and Snowboard Teams

There were 27 ski racers and 11 snowboard racers at our School this year. The year was not a typical one, that is for sure, but our student athletes made the most of every ski/ride day we had, and they enjoyed being together and improving their skills. Even though there were no regional or provincial competitions due to COVID-19 restrictions, we did have an inter-squad race on March 2 for both the ski and snowboard teams.

The fastest snowboarder of the day was Alex Graham ‘25 and the fastest female was Maddy Fleming ‘24.

For skiing, the fastest racers were junior male - Westin Endres ‘26, senior male - Alden Mulherin ‘22, junior female - Rowan Lloyd ‘26, and senior female - Lucy Goddard ‘23

On March 9, we had a costume day, where prizes for best costumes went to Fox Sullivan ‘24 and Caitlin Behan ‘25.  These two events were a lot of fun and may become new traditions for our two teams.

A big shoutout to our team leaders. On the ski team, thank you to Grade 12 students Mitchell Larkin, Carter Short, and Paige Fraser, as well as Grade 11 students Lucy Goddard, Molly Singer, and Lily Sidorchuk. On the snowboard team the leadership was Fox Sullivan ‘24, Greyson Corbett-Lumb ‘23, Noah Burch-Pottie ‘23, and Zach Logan ‘23. Thanks for the wonderful season!

Also, a big thank you to Mr. Phillip Hadley, Kyle Endres ‘89, Coach Nic Robichaud, and Mr. Jeff Smith for helping out with our race day. Click this link for some videos from race day.
