Meet the Cast and Crew of Clue

We are very proud to present Clue: On Stage (High School Edition) as this year’s Senior School play production. From acting to backstage crew, we will be highlighting and introducing some of the students involved in our show as the weeks unfold. Our students will share their thoughts about the play, their experience with the performing arts, and the importance of arts in their everyday lives. We hope you will support this dedicated team of staff and students by attending this fun production. The shows run from April 21-23.

This week we are highlighting Jessica Etou ’24 and Lucas Martin ‘24:

Jess is from the Congo, and is currently in her second year at KES, in Grade 10. She loves theatre because it gives her the chance to portray many different characters and gives her the chance to show off her skill of crying on command. She has been studying drama and visual arts for four years, and music for five. Jessica was part of a chorale and Notre Dame de Paris in France, and in Wicked and Heathers through KES. Being part of the arts has allowed her to develop comprehension, calmness, and reflection, skills which she uses to get through everyday conflicts. Her favorite role so far has been Elphaba (Wicked) because she got to sing the song “I’m Not That Girl”. This year, she will be one of many talented actors onstage in Clue. 

Lucas is in his fourth year at KES, in Grade 10. He lived in Scarborough, Ontario, but currently lives in Lucasville, Nova Scotia. During the pandemic, the arts have “kept him entertained,” and now he is joining the production of Clue because he has many other friends involved in it and wanted to be part of a group which creates something fun for people to watch. He really enjoyed the production of Heathers this fall and credits it as being something which “really got him into theatre.” His favorite art is not theatre, but music, because it is a fantastic way to express oneself without words. Lucas will not be onstage for Clue but will be part of the stage crew.
