Clue: On Stage Sneak Peek

The cast and crew have been working diligently to bring this hilarious script to life. Rehearsals are well underway, and actors are finding unique ways to embody their characters. Although rehearsals started as a combination of virtual and live, they are now in-person and on stage as they try to figure out “whodunnit”!

Costumes, props, and set design are in full swing with stage crew jumping on the opportunity to get some painting done before the March break. Actors have been trying on costumes and even had the chance to rehearse with some of their pieces! To add to the excitement, some of the cast and crew had a fantastic time hunting for costumes and props at the Value Village in New Minas.

Additionally, the wonderful Katie Hodder ‘23 and Sadie Junger ’24 have been writing weekly exposés as they ask members of the play meaningful questions about their experiences with the performing arts. It has been lovely gaining insight into the thoughts of Senior School students surrounding the production and their interactions with the arts in general.

If this process were to be described in one word, it would be “fun.” Students and staff are constantly laughing as they create and collaborate. At any given moment, you are guaranteed to find a smile on someone’s face. That’s what the arts are all about, right? As Pablo Picasso once said, “the purpose of art is washing away the dust of daily life off our souls.” This resonates, more than ever, as we slowly emerge from a difficult two years.

Was it Mrs. Peacock, in the library, with the dagger? Or perhaps it was Colonel Mustard, in the conservatory, with the rope? In time, all truths will be revealed.
