Cole, Mary Ellen

Mary passed away peacefully at home, age 99, on February 12, 2022. Born in Windsor, daughter of the late William John and Maud Alice (Croft) Sangster. She attended Edgehill from 1934 to1941. Over the years Mary had lived in Hubbards, Chester and Berwick. Mary loved gardening and traveling through the countryside with family and friends. Survived by daughter, Sheila (Cole) Hamblen; grandchildren, Patti (Tony Nagle), Peter (Angela) Hamblen, Debbie (Mark Harnish), Donna (Glenn Tucker), Brad Cole (Shannon), Thaila ( Shawn Sanford); also great-grandchildren, Justin (Jenna), Jenna (Ben),Cory, Reanna (Matt), Javin, Asha; and nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her son, Gregory Cole; brothers, Willie John Sangster, Jim Sangster, George Sangster; sister, Madelyn (Comeau). At Mary’s request, her body has been donated to Dalhousie Medical Research. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
