Meet the Cast and Crew of Clue

 

King’s-Edgehill School is proud to present Clue: On Stage (High School Edition) as this year’s Senior School play production. From acting to backstage crew, we will be highlighting and introducing some of the students involved in our production as the weeks unfold. We will be interviewing people that are part of the cast and crew to share their thoughts on their responsibilities with the show, their experience with the performing arts, and the importance of arts in their everyday lives! We hope you will consider supporting this dedicated team of staff and students by attending this production! You can look forward to these performances which debut April 21-23.

This week we are highlighting Samantha Mayer and Claire Morton:

This is Sammee’s first year at KES. She is in Grade 10 and is from Ontario. She decided to get onstage because her friends are also involved in Clue and she wanted to get the chance to put herself into someone else’s shoes. As a child, her mother enrolled her in a theatre summer camp and she has been lost to the world of theatre ever since. She suggests that everyone try theatre because it is a way to get out of one’s shell, develop communication skills, and improve one’s memory by learning lines and blocking. She is looking forward to seeing her family in the audience and hopes you all enjoy the show! 

Claire is from Windsor Nova Scotia; it is her second year at KES, and she is in Grade 10. Claire has had incredibly positive experiences with musicals, encouraging her to become involved with our upcoming play Clue. She likes the fact that you can portray many different people and things in theatre. Claire started her journey in the arts while at King’s-Edgehill, has had experience with theatre while in the Grade 9 drama class, and enjoyed the social aspect of her prior musical Heathers. Claire also enjoys fine arts such as painting and is looking forward to helping design the set for this upcoming play. Claire believes there is a place for everyone in the arts and is confident that the arts help develop social skills and improve problem-solving abilities.
