Did Someone Say Christmas?

Did someone say Christmas? Yes – Christmas is right around the corner and, once again, we are heading up another Christmas Initiative in partnership with the Family Resource Centre of West Hants.

Our Youth in Action group has been hard at work coordinating with the Centre on their needs along with the families they would like to support this holiday season. We have prepared a list of items that each family has put on their wish list as well as items that the Centre needs in order to help support these families on an ongoing basis. This is a very important project within our KES community as many of these families will have nothing under their trees at Christmas! We want to help spread the love and to support those in need in our local community.

Key Details:
  1. We will be supporting four local families this holiday season as well as the Family Resource Centre itself.
  2. Here is the link with all the items needed. If you are able to add one extra thing to your shopping trip, it will make a world of difference trying to fulfill all the needs of the families.
  3. If you would rather give a monetary donation, we will accept that as well and our team can purchase the remaining items on the list. We will be accepting either cash (Ms. Fillman, Mrs. Bouwman or Mrs. Shields), or e-transfer (to kfillman@kes.ns.ca ). Please indicate in your e-transfer that it is for the Christmas Initiative.
  4. All gifts should be placed under the Christmas tree near the theatre. We would prefer any gift cards come to Marshall House so we can ensure they are kept safe.
  5. Once we reach our goal, we will have a dress down day in December!
  6. Nothing needs to be wrapped. The parents like to do that themselves.
  7. Deadline for gifts/donations is December 3.
We would love for you to participate if you can.
