The Grade 10 Art Class

As the Fine Arts classes wind down for the term, my students in Grades 8, 9, and 10 have been busy finishing their projects as they will be switching Arts classes after the January break.

The last few weeks in my Grade 10 Art class, students had a few options to chose from as a personal independent study. The choices were to work with oil painting (they had worked with acrylic painting earlier) or to investigate street art looking at artists such as Banksy, Jean-Michael Basquiat, and Keith Haring. The street art project was using mixed media. They would be using materials that they were previously introduced to but using them in a different context and combining them together.  Enjoy the results.

It truly has been a pleasure teaching these groups this term.
