Lennon Gets Us Into the Christmas Spirit Singing O Holy Night

Last week, Grade 10 student, Lennon Rutledge, was a featured performer on the televised CTV 57th Annual Halifax Christmas Daddies telethon that raised a nine-year high of $608,104.82 to help local children and families in need. With COVID-19 restrictions, talent appeared virtually and viewed by thousands. This is Lennon’s back story. One day at lunchtime in early October, Lennon approached me and said that she would be recording O Holy Night that evening, accompanied by her mother on guitar. So, I asked Lennon if she would be playing the piano. “I don’t know it”, she replied. I said, “Well, let me teach you the changes”, and we got started. It didn’t take long before she did know it. She left school early that afternoon for the studio. This is the result.

On behalf of Lennon and her mother -- Have a Very Merry Christmas!
