Passed away April 26, 2020
Age 59, of Ardoise, Hants Co., passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
Jeff was born in Halifax on November 18, 1960. He was the son of Rita and the late Reg Porter of Ardoise. For most of his life, Jeff worked for various trucking companies as a long-haul trucker. He saw the country from coast to coast either by hitchhiking or from the cab of his truck. Jeff loved to talk to people and was a great story teller. He could remember with great detail, events from past years. He had his own opinions and wasn't shy to share them, whether people wanted to hear them or not. He didn't always colour inside the lines and this came through in his stories. In his later years, Jeff was content to be home watching the mischievous actions of his fur-baby, Missy.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Rita; sister, Beverly (Avon) Fletcher; and brother, Ray (Gwen). He was predeceased by his father, Reg; and son, Catlin Jeffery in infancy. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Jeff's family would like to thank the staff of Hants Community Hospital and the QEII Health Sciences Centre for the care given to Jeff.
