Yeoman, Peter Alfred

Age 61, of Head of St. Margaret's Bay, passed away peacefully in QEII Health Sciences Centre on September 24, 2019. He was the son of the late Alfred and Joyce (Baker) Yeoman. He is lived on through his wife of 36 years, Sandra (MacDonald); daughter, Jackie (Fionn Mitchell), Michelle Lamontagne and grandson, Frankie Yeoman. Loving father to the late Michael Yeoman. Peter grew up in Brossard, Que. He started his career in the container industry working for ACL at the Port of Montreal. In the early 80's he moved to Halifax with Sandra when Ceres Container Terminal opened. This is where he started his family and his company P.A. Yeoman Marine Services Inc. Peter enjoyed a challenge and always had an eye for adventure. This followed him in both his business and hobbies. He was quick to gather friends, family and colleagues to participate in all of his endeavors whether it be on land, water or in the sky. He has left so many of us with memories and wonderful stories of boating on the bay, waterskiing with the kids, shark fishing, hydroplane racing, legend car racing, hunting weekends and infinite hours of hockey practice, games and tournaments which he loved sharing with Mike. A Celebration of Life for Peter will be held in Shining Waters Marine, 148 Nautical Way, Tantallon, on Saturday, October 5th from 1-4 p.m. Please join us to share stories and remember a life lived to the fullest. A private cremation has taken place. We would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the QEII Hospital for their compassion and kindness during this time. In lieu of flowers we would appreciate a donation to the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation be made in Peter's memory. Online condolences can be made to: www.rawalker.ca
