KES Prep in Rhode Island for last game of Family Trip

The KES Prep Basketball team visited St.Andrew's School for their second game of the day on Saturday, for the final game of the Family and Friends trip. Earlier in the day, KES had a tough outing vs Worcester, but the girls were prepared for the evening challenge against a team that was very similar to themselves.

After an initial feeling out few minutes, the game turned into another typical KES Prep back and forth affair, with the teams tied at halftime at 23. The coaching staff felt that our group should have had a lead, but it was evident that our short roster was starting to wear down. The girls kept battling, with Aaliyah leading the way 15 points, Savannah Provo chipped in with excellent defence and 10 points,Heavyn Beals had 9, and Briar MacDonald 8 points to keep the team in the game all the way to late in the 2nd half. As the game wore on, it was evident that the KES team was out of gas, where St.Andrew's pulled away for a 60-51 victory.

Even though the team was winless on the trip, a great time was had by all, and all three schools have already confirmed games for 2019-20, inviting KES back as paet of thier schedule, and wanting to make it a regular annual match up.
