Great League Start for our Hockey Girls

Our hockey girls travelled to Canton, New York, for their first league tournament of the season. With a lot of excitement and a hint of nerves, our girls faced competitive games from Northwood School (New York), Hoosac School (New York), Gilmore Academy (Ohio) and Trinity College School (Ontario, CA).

Our girls got the lead out after a long two days of driving to beat Hoosac (5-1) followed by a tough loss against Northwood (2-3), arguably one of the best teams in the league, then winning the last two games against Gilmore (3-2) and TCS (1-0). Winning three of four games meant that we could take home six of eight possible points in the league! Everyone on the team contributed to the success but a few stars of note were Maggie Baxter, standing on her head at times in goal, Maddy Walsh, with four points in four games, and the Hickey sisters; Jordyn and Kaylee each scored a game winner!

We will see TCS again in December on a university tour of Ontario, where our girls will have the opportunity to visit, tour and play on the campuses of four major universities.
