Girls Prep Drops Opener at Colt Classic

The Girls Prep Basketball Team dropped a 60-38 game to J.Addison School, a team ranked #4 in the last version of the Canadian Girls Prep Rankings. KES has been hit with an injury bug, and several members did not play in this game. After getting down early, the girls crawled back to within 5 points of J.Addison, before going to halftime down 29-16. The break did the KES crew some good, and they shaved the 13 point lead back down to 5 points again, and had the momentum before the J.Addison shooters took over with four 3 pointers in the quarter and ended the third quarter with a 41-31 lead. The 8 player active roster of KES players ran out of gas in the fourth quarter, and J.Addison pushed the lead out to the final 22 point differential. Briar MacDonald added to our injury count as she rolled her ankle with only less than a minute left in the game, We look forward to playing this great team once we get all of our players healthy and back on the court!
