Replacing Major Keith Hynes was a tall order! Therefore, King’s-Edgehill School has hired Captain James Skafte.
Captain Skafte brings a great deal of enthusiasm, experience, and intelligence to the role, and yes, he is indeed six feet and 10 inches tall, or as he likes to say 5’22”. He won’t be hard to find on the field for his stature and knowledge of the cadet experience. Captain Skafte has already expressed appreciation for the Corps, and he joined the Grade 9 class on their Duke of Edinburgh adventure to Cape Split. A native of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, he currently lives in Greenwood with his wife Berinda and three children. Captain Skafte is an avid scuba diver who has worked with cadets for many years and already is excited about the potential for the Corps.
