Chisato Returns to Japan On A High Note

A talented scholar and gentleman of the Eleventh Grade, Chisato Iwata has been a model student here at KES. He has been called back to Japan this term to complete his high school studies to qualify to attend a university in his native country. Although we're all sad to see him go, we know that our bonds will hold true throughout the future.

Chisato has been studying IB music, concentrating on solo performance. Just before the Christmas break, he performed a piano piece entitled Senbonzakura (千本桜composed by 作詞・作曲:黒うさ) for his jury adjudication. It was impressive. Here is a video of that performance for your enjoyment. As Chisato introduces it, you will acquire an appreciation of his demeanour, and as he performs it, you will no doubt applaud his talent. Arigauto gozaimasu, Chisato; oshiawaseni! I believe this means thank you, Chisato.  Best wishes!
