Welcome to Hogwarts!

For many of our younger students, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the first thing that comes to mind on their first visit on campus. To celebrate this theme, the Junior School annually transforms the hallways into a wonderful world of Harry Potter! For the first hour, our teachers turned into professors from Hogwarts and offered a balanced curriculum in wizardry. Students enjoyed creating magical school crests in Art, reading each others' minds in Legilimency, guessing words in a game of Harry Potter Heads Up!, and making bubbles float from one end of the room to the other in Levitation class.

We ended the day with two games of Muggle Quidditch where students were given the opportunity to become seekers and chasers, magically tossing the quaffle through the rings on either side of the pitch. Both games were extremely competitive. The athleticism of Chaz Faucher and Hunter Hood made it seem like they were flying on broomsticks. An eruption from the crowd came as Natalia Shaw had an unbelievable goal in the second half of their game. Meanwhile, Brin Lloyd caught the snitch a total of 4 times for his team!

Overall, students had a wonderful afternoon diving into the world of Harry Potter.

Great job, everyone!
