Badminton Season Results
King’s-Edgehill School Junior and Senior students competed this term in the annual ACIS Badminton Tournament in Halifax. It was a wonderful opportunity for our players to test their skills in a competitive event and their coaches were very pleased with their efforts. Congratulations are extended to: Madison (Jiawen) Mu ‘20 and Jayden (Tsz Kit) Lam ’20, first place in Senior Doubles; Steven (Pin-Yu) Huang ‘19, first place in Senior Singles.
In NSSAF play, Jayden and Jerry (Po Wang) Cheung ’20 were a formidable Senior Boys’ doubles team who won Regionals and advanced to Provincials, but in the end did not medal.
In addition, we congratulate Lucas Tam ’22 and Jayden who were recognized at this year’s Athletic Banquet as the Most Valuable Contributors to the Junior and Senior Varsity badminton programmes.
All of our KES athletes demonstrated commitment to their sport and they conducted themselves admirably, both on and off the court – and had fun, in the process! We thank parent-volunteer coach Mr. Serge Boily for his time and effort in training our varsity players so well this season.
