Terry Fox Run

Try Like Terry!” This is theme of the 41st anniversary of the Terry Fox Run for Cancer research.  Just like last year, due to ongoing pandemic protocols, our community will not be able to gather by the hundreds on our campus for the 2021 Terry Fox Run.  It will be another “One day. Your way!” virtual event for our school day community, the greater Windsor area, and beyond.  Your help and commitment are needed more now than ever.

Here’s this year’s plan
:  boarding students and campus staff will run, walk, or cycle a 5 km route on campus together; day students and their families along with off-campus faculty, alumni and KES friends will design their own route, in their own neighbourhoods to be completed at the same time.  Everyone will participate in their own location, their own way, on Sunday, September 19th at 11 am.  We will be united in spirit, not in person.  With the convenience of participating from wherever you are, our 2021 event should prove as successful as last year’s where we smashed all previous fundraising records surpassing $27,000 ($10,000 more than our previous contributions) and earned 2nd place out of approximately 60 run sites in the Province.  It was our best event ever thanks largely to our student leadership and parental support.  We are proud of our success and we certainly want to maintain this momentum for the 2021 Virtual Run!

Please act now!  All day families can register online today! Here’s a quick link to our new Windsor/King’s-Edgehill site: http://www.terryfox.ca/terryfoxrun/windsor-ns  Every donation toward cancer research counts, and I encourage you to contribute while there (tax receipts will be provided online).
