King’s-Edgehill School, located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq nation, was founded in 1788 and is recognized as Canada's first independent school.   • ELL Coordinator (English Language Learning)

    About Our Opportunity

    We are seeking an energetic and dedicated ELL Coordinator to lead our English Language Learning (ELL) Program!

    As the ELL Coordinator at KES, you will be part of an inclusive, close-knit community working in a highly collaborative environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the ELL Program, including administration, budget, student advising, placement, teaching, assessment, and curriculum development. With small class sizes and one on one student tutoring, you’ll enjoy getting to know your students and discovering how best to challenge, encourage, and support them as they master English and prepare for post-secondary education.

    About Our Opportunity

    We are looking for energetic and dedicated full-time French Teachers for both our Junior School and Senior School!
     
    As a French Teacher at KES, you will be part of an inclusive, close-knit community working in a highly collaborative environment. You will receive encouragement to embrace new ideas in the classroom and have the support to put those ideas into action! With small classes you’ll enjoy getting to know your students and discovering how best to challenge, encourage, and support them in a manner that suits their personal learning styles. Outside of the classroom, you will be actively involved in every aspect of school life, from coaching athletics and supporting our weekly arts program, to accompanying students on school trips and activities!

    About Our Opportunity

    We are seeking Houseparents to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year!

    Our school prides itself on providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our boarding students from around the world. As a Houseparent, you will be a primary caregiver for a group of 10-15 students throughout the school year and play an important role in fostering a positive living environment within our boarding community. This is a live on campus role that includes responsibilities spanning safety and wellbeing of students, weekly supervisory duties, communication with parents, and chaperoning off campus outings, school events, and social activities.

    About Our Opportunity

    We are looking for energetic and dedicated full-time Math and Science Teachers for our Junior School (Grades 6-9)!
     
    As a Junior School Teacher at KES, you will be part of an inclusive, close-knit community working in a highly collaborative environment. With small classes of 15-18 students, you’ll enjoy getting to know your students and discovering how best to challenge, encourage, and support them in a manner that suits their personal learning styles.   • School Counsellor (Maternity Leave Contract)

    About Our Opportunity

    KES has an exciting contract position available for a School Counsellor to cover a 10-month maternity leave.  Reporting to the Director, School Counselling,  the KES School Counsellor provides students with compassionate brief and solution-focused counselling support through individual personal counselling that focuses on the social, emotional, mental, and behavioural aspect of one’s health and wellbeing.

  • Summer Student (Advancement and Alumni Relations Assistant )

    About Our Opportunity

    Reporting to the Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, the Advancement and Alumni Relations Summer Student will aid in day-to-day operations of the department which engages the School’s alumni population and fundraises for the School. The primary responsibility of the Advancement and Alumni Relations Summer Student will be data entry, aiding in the archives, helping with the execution of alumni events, and other administrative tasks.
