Alumni Scholarship Application

The Inglis Education Foundation awards the following two Alumni Bursaries and one Scholarship each school year in addition to eleven Alumni prizes.
Boarding Student Bursary: Awarded to a worthy daughter or son of an Old Girl or Old Boy (parents or grandparents) who is new to the School and will benefit from the financial support.
Value $12,000
Day Student Bursary: Awarded to the worthy daughter or son of an Old Girl or Old Boy (parents or grand-parents) who is new to the School and will benefit from the financial support.
Value $5,000
The M. H. Roechling Memorial Scholarship: Established in memory of Miss Roechling, former Headmistress of Edgehill School (1919-1946), and awarded to a female boarder of great promise.
Value $4,000

This bursary is an annual award to a student, selected by the Performing Arts Director, who may choose to attend an art, drama, dance or music camp or to take personal lessons. The student will be reimbursed up to the amount of $400.
Mrs. Irma Barnes was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Edgehill Guild for 23 years from the 1960’s to the 1990’s.
A male in the Junior School will receive the equivalent of the T Ross Whitehead Cup. It is presented to the young man in the Junior School who, in the opinion of his peers, best displays the qualities of “manhood, gentleness and learning”. This prize is voted on by the Lower School male students. His name is engraved on the cup and the recipient also receives a book award.
Mr. Derrick was the Headmaster of KCS from 1960 to 1973.
The Senior Girls receive the equivalent with the Fideliter Prize – Awarded by the Old Girls to a girl with outstanding qualities chosen by the girls with the approval of the staff and the Huston Prize – to the girl who exemplifies the highest qualities of character and personality.
Mr. Derrick was the Principal of Edgehill from 1968 to 1973.
This prize is a silver locket which is awarded to the young woman who exemplifies the motto “FIDELITER”, meaning faithfulness – a firm holding to duty, being true to the School, her Country and to God. It is awarded by the "Old Girls" and chosen by the recipient's peers with the approval of the staff.
A gold medal is awarded to the young woman with the highest average, in the Upper School, who is a returning student.
This medal belonged to the first Head Girl of Edgehill School, Mrs. Mary (Partridge) Ferrabee (1891).
