- Topics of discussion include:
- types and levels of degree programmes
- professional programmes;
- a detailed discussion of advantages and disadvantages of small and large universities>
- outline and address the reasons which cause first year students to interrupt or leave their studies

- prerequisite requirements for admission to all programmes including professional and graduate schools
- career possibilities arising from various areas of study
- define limits of the decision making process for this age group (Gr. 12) and a constant reminder to keep as many options open as possible
- 'Self-discovery' assignments
- what to expect first year - academic and social
- how to maximize chances for success at the post secondary level - study habits, time management
