Daily physical activity is an integral part of life for all our students, who participate in a programme of sports each afternoon.
Sports have been a part of life at the School since its founding; by 1900, Sergeant Arthur Cunningham had developed an outstanding programme of gymnastics and athletics. A century later, this tradition of athletic excellence continues: the School gymnasium is decorated with banners for winning the hockey, rugby, basketball, soccer, skiing, and biathlon Provincial Championships. Windsor's Long Pond, believed to be the birthplace of Canadian hockey, falls at the edge of King's-Edgehill School grounds; today, our senior boys' and girls' hockey teams continue to be the flagships of our athletics programme and two of the finest school teams in both the province and the Atlantic region.
