Details:
Career Night on Thursday 17 May at 7:00 pm in the Fountain Centre. This is a compulsory event for all students, but parents are welcome to join us for an interesting and informative evening.
We have four speakers, all alumni, who are involved in the two most popular areas of interest for our graduates: medicine and business. Dr. Karen Mann (1948-58) and Dr. Robert Fraser (1972-78) are both on the Board of Governors and represent the medical side and Mr. Greg Burrows (1991-93) and Mr. Marc Whebby (1988-91) represent the business side. Dr Mann has been involved in medical education at Dalhousie University and Dr Fraser is the Head of Pathology at the IWK. Owner of four Subway restaurants (one of which is equipped with a Rapidshot hockey challenge) in New Glasgow, Greg Burrows is joined by his KES hockey teammate and friend and Marc Whebby who runs W. Eric Whebby Ltd., which is a firm that has been involved in excavation and land development in the HRM since 1952. So we have lots of experience on tap and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
