Chaplain’s Corner

In keeping with the educational principles of King’s-Edgehill School, religious instruction is also provided, apart from the daily Chapel Services held throughout the School year.

Fides quarens intellectum - Faith seeking understanding is a basic principle that guides and directs the entire educational programme.

Get strengthened in the Christian Faith! Instruction in the basic principles of the Christian religion will be offered on Mondays from 4:45-5:15pm in Room 204 of the Academic Building at King’s-Edgehill School.

These classes are for all who are interested in learning what the Christian Faith is essentially as well as providing instruction for confirmation for those who are adherents of the Anglican, Lutheran and United Churches. The basis of instruction is the Catechism of the Book of Common Prayer. The classes also provide opportunities to explore questions about other religions and other forms of expression of the Christian Faith.

The dates of these classes are: January 11th, 18th & 25th; February 8th, 15th, & 22nd ; March 1st and 8th.

Update about Choir Pratice

Ms. Christy Hodder is running a choir practice on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm in the Band room for all interested students. It is off to a good start and this augurs well for developing a singing culture at the school.

Sunday Services

Students and parents are reminded of Sunday services at 8:00am and 10:30am at Christ Church in Windsor, the Parish with which the Chapel is associated. During the winter months, the services are held in the Parish Hall.

At 4:30pm on Sundays, while the School is in session, there will be a short service of Mass (Holy Communion) or Evening Prayer in Hensley Memorial Chapel of King’s-Edgehill School. This is especially important to members of the boarding community but, of course, is open to everyone.
